A Service of Thanksgiving in the 30th Year of South Africa’s democracy will be held in Westminster Abbey on Tuesday 16th July 2024 at Noon.
The ceremony will honor the battle for democracy that has been fought, the unceasing efforts of activists to eliminate Apartheid, and the chance to look ahead to the advancements in values and society that have occurred in South Africa recently.
Clicking on “Select Tickets” above will allow you to enter the service. After selecting a category and purchasing the necessary number of tickets, click “Reserve a spot.” You will then be sent to a page where you can enter your information and any guest information that you may be applying for.
After submitting those data, click “Register,” and an email address you supply will be used to receive a link to your ticket or tickets.
On the day of the service, print off the ticket(s) and bring them with you, or bring a picture of the ticket(s) on your phone. The Abbey doesn’t provide your information to outside parties.
Before entry, a bag search could be conducted. Please leave any large bags at the station’s left-luggage area in advance of the service. For example, there is one at Victoria Station.
The closest restrooms may be found in Westminster Central Hall or Abbey Cloisters.
Attendance will be permitted through the Abbey’s west door starting at 10.30 a.m. It is required that attendees take their seats before 11:30 a.m.
